Unable to log into Minecraft Launcher

Hey all,

I am trying to play Minecraft, but when I log in, it gives me the error "SocketException: Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 10107: create".

Here are the things I tried:
~Restarted computer
~Reinstalling Minecraft (Including recreating .minecraft folder)
~Uninstalled any mods I had
~Scanned computer for viruses

None of the things listed I tried worked. Please help!

EDIT: The minecraft servers are up, as mojang says, atm, and I am able to download the launcher and runtime, so I am assuming it has something to do with a program, and not the internet.

Try to reinstall Java

Reinstalling Java:

1. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
2. Uninstalled Java and all Java updates
3. Go to Java's download site and reinstalled Java

I guess you could try playing offline. I do that every day.
