Not able to play minecraft

My daughter has been playing minecraft the full version since may. On the PC. Now she is not able to play it. I can go in to pick a world & one world will show up but then you can't do anything in it. She said the mouse arrow should not be seen on the screen but it is. If you click on any other world it just says downloading terrain but won't do anything. I paid for this game & want it to work! How can I fix this?

Re-Install Minecraft. It's not an issue with whether or not you payed for the game.

I have tried that as well. Still the same thing. Just to make sure I did it correctly can u walk me thru it?

Along with re-downloading Minecraft, navigate to your .minecraft/minecraft folder (Depending on your OS System)

***NOTE: Before doing the steps below, save any mods/worlds you really want to keep! However, her world may be corrupt, so it would be best to scrap it all. Ask her if it is OK to delete her worlds first.

Windows:
In a search menu, type '%appdata%' (without apostrophe's), and look for a .minecraft folder. Delete it, and run Minecraft again.

Mac:
Mac is a little more complicated. In finder, hold down these keys: Shift + Command + G, and type ~/Library in the Go menu box. Once there, go to Application Support and then delete the minecraft folder, and run Minecraft again.
